Help Spread the Word

There are lots of ways you can help more people know about Real Rent Duwamish. Pick the ones that resonate for you. You are our best ambassadors for this grassroots solidarity movement!
  • Pick up your free t-shirt from the Longhouse and wear it proudly! Get a free yard sign while you're at it. We often hear from people that learned about Real Rent from a yard sign.
  • Utilize your company’s matching gift program to increase your donation! As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, the Duwamish Tribe (and Real Rent) is eligible for many employer matching programs.
  • Why do you pay Real Rent? Tell your story on social media. Take a selfie with a sign supporting Real Rent and a brief message about why you think it’s important.
  • Check in with your employer to see if they pay Real Rent. If they don't, give them a brochure and explain why you think it's important for them to do so.
  • Like, follow, and share Real Rent Duwamish on Facebook and Instagram

  • Like, follow and share The Duwamish Tribe on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Email or text 5 friends a link to this website and tell them why you're a Real Renter.
  • Invite us to table at your next event. We love talking to people about Real Rent. Just fill out our Outreach Request Form.
  • Download our Real Rent brochure to share with others as you go about your day. Email it or print some out. You can even display them at your business or hand them out at events.
  • Educate yourself about the Duwamish Tribe so you can answer questions as you talk about Real Rent. Attend Real Renter events, check out the informative exhibit at the Longhouse, and look at the resources on this site and the Duwamish Tribe's website.
  • Talk to your local businesses and organizations to see if they support Real Rent. You'd be surprised how many do! Others just don't know about it. If they regularly donate, email us ([email protected]) and we can highlight them in our newsletter.
  • Forward the Real Rent monthly email newsletter to your friends and family. It's a great way to learn more about the Tribe and the importance of Real Renters.
